In Martinique, the finest panoramas sit on the mornes, the island’s green hills: the house opens onto the bay, the trade wind flows through all day, and nights stay cool without constant air-conditioning. The trade-off is a beach 5 to 15 minutes away, usually by car. Our listings state the real distance, and every view is photographed from the terrace, never promised on paper. For sand a few steps out, see ourbeachfront villas instead.
On the Caribbean side, the view carries over a calm sea and the silhouettes of Le Diamant or Les Anses-d’Arlet: the classic sunset postcard. On the Atlantic side, Le François and Le Vauclin face the white-sand shallows, turquoise flats unique to the French Antilles: a rarer, more secluded view, prized for large family gatherings.
Our listings distinguish sea view from panoramic sea view, with real photos taken from the terrace. No “sea view” that requires leaning out of the bathroom window: if you cannot see the water from the living room or terrace, we do not write it.
Sea views usually come with elevation: a panorama, the trade wind flowing through the house, sunsets, and the beach 5 to 15 minutes away. Beachfront means sand a few steps out, but sometimes a more closed horizon. Every listing states the real distance to the beach so you can decide.
The hills of Le Diamant (with the Rock in your sightline), Les Anses-d’Arlet, Le Marin and Sainte-Luce on the Caribbean side; Le Vauclin and Le François on the Atlantic side, with the white-sand shallows as a backdrop.
